They provide a wide range of public and private cloud services, shared hosting, and dedicated server solutions to businesses across various sectors.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the planning, engineering, and implementation of our cloud infrastructure across all regions. This position is based in Yangon, Myanmar. It covers leading the team responsible for implementation and design of cloud infrastructure and establishing procedures to ensure cloud infrastructure availability and stability. It is also responsible for the documentation and the monitoring of the performance of all systems. This position

reports to the Chief Technical Officer. A more detailed description of this position’s responsibilities can be found below.

  • Hire, train and retain the cloud infrastructure team in our respective markets
  • Lead the design and implementation of new clusters both VMware and OpenSource according to industry best practices
  • Oversee the support and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure proper availability of cloud resources: computing, memory, storage. Perform regular capacity planning exercises and coordinate with procurement team for upgrades
  • Establish and monitor cloud infrastructure metrics for performance issues and to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Review and maintain the cloud specifications related to standard hardware, software and application requirements by analyzing the business and security requirements.
  • Create and maintain all server/cloud infrastructure documentation; including downtime records, inventory, procedural documentation, and a disaster recovery plan.
  • Ensure the knowledge is shared across all teams and perform regular training / knowledge handover Oversea the update/upgrade of host systems and applications.
  • Define and implement security policies according to industry best practices
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans that relate to new customer projects such as customer cloud migration, disaster recovery project etc.
  • Remotely support regional cloud infrastructure with some travel required.
  • Interact and develop relationships with vendors and other 3rd party contractors to manage projects and secure network and system products and services.
  • Work closely with delivery team to provide input on industry trends to tailor our delivery offerings to meet the market needs
  • Design of client’s Cloud environments
  • Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • 7-9 years of experience in Virtualization, Cloud Computing Engineering amp; architecture, service models, deployment models, practical implementations, operations
  • Hands-on knowledge of VMware’s Virtualization Suite including VSAN amp; NSX-T
  • Hands-on knowledge with Linux Administration and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) Experience working with global data center environments
  • Experience with large-scale virtualization clusters with hundreds of VMs per cluster
  • Experience with Cloud Technology and Microservices
  • Knowledge of best practice backup and recovery procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of server and application related issues, at times under pressure. Strong sensitivity on cybersecurity matters
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and fluent verbal English communications skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • VMware VCA/VCP/VCAP certified
  • Hands-on experience with SDN, NSX preferably
  • Linux server administration experience
  • Basic experience with switches, routers and firewalls.
